Eastside Catholic Partnership

Water Access Now was presented with a wonderful opportunity last fall. Nicole Miller, Eastside Catholic School sub teacher suggested a collaboration to the social justice staff.  We presented our story and students wrote letters to Sakoti school in Northern Region, Ghana.  Those letters were delivered and received with great joy.  The Sakoti students are writing  back to their 'pen pals'.

In addition, Water Access Now (WAN) was chosen as the Lenten donation organization for the school.

We were then invited to present our story in the first 'social justice day' at ECA.  The students were engaged, and we were presented with a check for $7000.

The sum of these parts (depending on the process)  will result in a borehole in the vicinity of Sakoti School.  The WAN visiting team to be led by co founder and president of our board will visit the school and present them with signed soccer balls donated by Pete Fewing.

The world can be filled with hope when personal connections are made.  Deep gratitude to Nicole Miller, Lynn Kittridge, Pauline Thurman, and all who welcomed us.  We are thankful for our new relationship with ECA.
